Flint Hill's SHRM  is located in the heart of the Flint Hills of eastern Kansas and meets monthly in Manhattan, KS. Membership is composed of management and administrative level persons responsible for human resource related activities in their organizations. Our local chapter includes members from several local communities and surrounding counties.

The primary objectives of the association are:

  • To serve as a central forum where members may network and exchange information, ideas, and views.
  • To educate the membership, through programs and activities, on laws and practices affecting human resource policy and practices and the role of the human resource functions in the private and public sectors.
  • To nurture standards of personnel ethics and to enhance the stature of the human resource related professions in the community, area, and state.

Flint Hills SHRM is the official sponsoring chapter for the Student Chapter of SHRM at Kansas State University. Students majoring in human resource related programs are encouraged to join our association as student members. Flint Hills SHRM chapter members are actively involved with student mentor and job shadow activities.

Monthly meetings with educational programs are generally held the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 8:00-9:30 am at the Eisenhower Recreation Center, 2850 Kirkwood Dr, Manhattan, KS 66502.  Changes to the date, time or location will be communicated prior.  Cost to attend the educational program is $20, which includes a meal.
