Fort Riley is an active part of our community, and many veterans find the area a great place to retire. Veterans are a highly skilled workforce that can help fill the talent gap.
This presentation will help HRMN and other community members understand what the Soldier for Life program is trying to do helping veterans in separation. There will also be a preview of the new KANSASWORKS agreement that will keep more transitioning service members here in the State of Kansas as well as increase partnerships with more businesses.
Objectives of the presentation:
Mitchell Foley is the Transition Services Manager at U.S. Army Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program. In this role he is a transition specialist focusing on military personnel transitions into the civilian workforce. Mitchell also works with employers to create programs that train and employ veterans upon separation. In addition, he helps veterans develop plans for transition.
